Sleeping... I Love Sleeping...

I have always had the best sleepers. At 6 weeks old my son slept the night from 7-7. Later at a few months old he slept from 7-830. Never a problem with him ever. Alora was a bit later. At 12 weeks old she slept 7-530 ate then 6-9. At a few months old she slept the 7-8. Both of them took 3 hours naps in the middle of the afternoon. My kids LOVE to sleep. I LOVE to sleep. I could sleep all the time! I thought my kids could too. Well we officially hit a wall, a bad big wall.

The son thought he could start staying up late. So at 11 I thought well I guess he can stay up past 730 lol. I let him start going to bed at 830. 830 turned into him sitting in his room awake till midnight. He will sit there do nothing in complete darkness till midnightish. Then he is miserable ALL day! So that is what is happening with the son.

The daughter well, here we go with her. We are keeping up the same routine since day one. She refuses to sleep. She comes out of her room every 10 mins screaming she is thirsty, hungry, has to poop, bla bla bla and bla.

I feel like I am screaming all night, "Go The F**K To Sleep." (Yea that one!) I am reading it nightly to get through my life.

I am out of my mind lately! What am I going to do? How can I get them to sleep? It got so bad I brought it up to my pediatrician and she said with the meds son takes he might have a problem and we talked and decided hey maybe Melatonin could work. I am very ANTI medications. I hate them. This is however more natural then other things so I figured I would give it a try. YUP didn't work.
And of course with daughter it was well try this and this and this. Ok maybe she just doesn't need the same amount of sleep as before. Well I do!? Ugh I am so tired.

So here I am hitting a road block... What do I do? Any advice?

Wish I could sleep like him even in sitting position.
I need more sleep this time.

Hey girl! Mine used to love sleeping just like that--and the same thing happened. Even now, sad to say, as teens they seem to think it's a waste of time, even after being told the horrors of sleep deprivation and some things that happen. But back to you---do they nap? I had to take away all naps...even little ones. Also, possibly get them up earlier (i know, tough one) and make them stay up until bedtime, and possibly that can be earlier as well. Let me know how it goes- we had many tricks up our tired sleeves. LOL. I feel your pain.

Why is it as kids we had issues with sleeping then when we were teens we would sleep so late on weekends :)

Nope no more naps for haven't in a long time. Although sometimes if she does get an early nap she goes to bed easier which leads me to believe she is over tired. But the dr says she doesn't think so looking at the detailed schedule I gave her...
As for the son ugh who knows lol.

We shall see how things go!

And yea as a teen and now I wish I could sleep all day ally lmao
