MiaPia Tutus And More Review and GIVEAWAY! *CLOSED*
I have recently had the extreme pleasure of working with MiaPia and getting two custom Tutu dresses made for Miss Alora. One of which was a HIT at her Harry Potter Birthday Party! The other we are saving for a wedding! (yes they are that beautiful!)
It is very hard finding the style Alora likes. It isn't like I can just go to the mall and find something black hot pink with skulls and is a tutu. I contacted her with what I wanted for Alora's birthday party and she was so excited to make it for her!
The tutu is hot pink and black, and the band around the tummy is black with little skull and crown buttons! Hot pink might I add!
The tulle is so nice it never got twisted or distorted while she was running and jumping and dancing! (Her party was at her dance studio!) The ribbon around the waist held up as well!
She also included an adorable flower head band with matching ribbon and a little silver for her to wear as well!!!
Her other tutu is a crochet top with a beautiful big purple flower! Purple and Pink tulle is what makes the skirt. She has not had a chance to wear it long however did try it on. She is in a size 3T and it fits her perfectly. I am not sure if the crochet top would fit anyone larger you would have to ask when ordering. For Alora however it is perfect! She loves the tulle sleeves which she likes to wear half way down her arms like "a princess." Again she has not played in it etc but if it anything like her birthday tutu I am sure a afternoon of dancing at a wedding will be just beautiful!
Her turn around time is what is expected for a custom order of two! Her shipping was super fast and her prices are extremely reasonable!
I highly recommend her if you have a special occasion and want something that will stop traffic! The stuff is awesome for photo shoots, special announcements, or even a birthday!
Please give her a look and a shout out from Mom2Nan3Dog1 on her facebook page
And of course a picture of a baby!
Again you can find her shop HERE
MiaPia is also generously offering a CUSTOM TIE BACK TUTU to one lucky reader! Open to the US only unless you would like to pay shipping.

The End of a Life Watched By Millions... Good Bye Harry Potter
There is no denying my family's love for this boy who has grown into a man right before our eyes. He started off as a confused 10 year old before his 11th birthday, wondering about all these strange things that happened around him. Someone who believed his parents left him in a car accident. A child who was treated so badly he lived in a cupboard under a set of stairs on little Privet Dr. He has grown into a man about to face is last breath, a war that seems endless and his enemy who took his whole life away.
As I think about the last few years of my love for Harry Potter, it saddens me, makes me teary and also makes me wish the ending would never come. I have read the books, seen all the movies, bought posters and wands, rode his rides and drank his butterbeer. To me Harry Potter isn't a series of books and movies but a passion shared by my whole family. One boy has given my family something we all enjoy. One set of books, one series of movies.
I will, as always, attend the midnight premier this July with my friends and son. I will laugh and cry and worry. I will stop breathing if just for a moment when that curse hits Harry and Kills him, even if it just for a few minuets. I will see all my favorites, Sirius Black, Bellatrix, Dumbledore, and Harry. I will watch many die for the good of man kind, Muggles and Wizards alike.
As I morn the passing of a series loved by millions, I will think about all the happiness and memories it has given my family and I.
I tip my hat and thank J.K Rowling and Warner Brother's Picture for bringing this series to millions and making us believe we are flying, casting spells, attending potions class and helping in the final battle of Hogwarts.

Bullying In This Day And Age... I Believe I Raised A Wonderful Child...
There is no denying that bullying is at an all time high. Obviously by now you might know I am from Mass, and the Phoebe Prince story which touched so many across the world is a story written here in Mass, which should have never been written in the first place.
There are millions of children all around the world that are picked on, treated badly, beaten up or just plain old left out of everything. It is a sad world today. There is no peace even in elementary school.
Dumbledore said to Nevile "There are all kinds of courage, It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."
He is right. No matter who they are to you, you need to do the right thing. Sometimes with a heavy heart. To me this also means never ever stand alone. Treat people as you would want to be treated. Help everyone. Love everyone. Be there for everyone. No matter how they hurt you, turn, smile and show them your courage and forgiveness. Neville forgave his friend Hermoine for turning him into stone. After he stood up for what he believed.
So here I am posting about bullying. We have all heard it before yes. But this is something different. I want to share a story that Mr. Reardon (my son's principle)shared with all us parents.
There was a child on the first day of school who came to him and said "Mr Reardon I am going to work my hardest on winning an award. I want a trophy!" That child worked all year for his trophy. He helped the special needs children on and off the bus. Helped the sports kids clean up their soccer balls. Showed a new student to their locker room and around school all day. Helped the secretary clean her office. Helped the principle himself do many things. Helped the lunch ladies and the janitor. Helped teachers and the nurse. Always had a smile for everyone no matter how much he was picked on or left out. He earned the Jack Wyatt Kindness Award.
That child was my son. My beautiful handsome wonderful caring son Robert.
In a day when children are mean he shined through all the bad words, shoving and jokes. He gave everyone he saw a smile, hello and a hand. His name will forever be in the case at school for all those to see. When his sister goes there I hope she shows and shares her brothers story. This is a story to be shared.
I normally do not pat myself on the back, I actually don't find my mothering that much of a deal. However I raised this little man. I made him who he is. And I am very VERY proud of what he received and EARNED.
Maybe some of those bullies should listen to this smiling child.

When it comes to your health... Please do not be stupid...
I went to pick up the babies from school yesterday. I had them in my car and I pulled out of my space. I got very dizzy so I pulled into the next space. I waited till it went away. It did not. I picked up my phone and called into the school "Hi it's Denise I am really dizzy can someone come out and help." They came out and soon it passed. We talked and they went back in. I promised them I would sit for a couple minuets before I left the lot. Not even 5 minuets later it started again I picked up my phone and that is the last thing I remember. There are bits and pieces I remember. Like how I was crying and asking everyone (even the cleaning lady)in the hospital for gum. I was vomiting blood the entire time and was extremely delirious. Eight hours passed and I came around. There still is much I do not remember like how I got home (hubby drove that is all I remember) I ate peanut butter and went to bed again. I woke up completely fine this morning and other then a bit queezy and a small headache I feel good.
I haven't been feeling 100% lately throwing up some and bad stomach pains. I wish I went to the doctors sooner.
Please everyone remember when it come's to your health and you think something is wrong call your doctor and ask or be seen. I am so blessed that I did not leave that parking lot. I am so blessed that I was not alone, and that there was 3 nurses there. I am very grateful for the medics (even though I do not remember their names or faces) and the doctors, nurses and even the cleaning lady for taking care of me yesterday. It should not have got to that point, or maybe it would have, but I do know this. I will never ignore a sign like that again!
Have a awesome rest of the week! (it is half over) and LET'S GO BRUINS!!!!

Uno's Bar and Grill... YUMMY Birthday Dinner!
I want to thank the Staff, Management and Corporate offices of Uno's Braintree, MA for giving me the opportunity to write this review.
I wanted to find a fun, exciting yet not to busy place, with good food music and drinks to go to for my birthday. I spoke with Marybeth who informed me Braintree Uno’s would love it if I could come there for my celebration and write a review of all they have to offer. I was very excited about this as my husband and I love our food and dinning out.
Uno’s Braintree is conveniently located outside the South Shore Plaza which is great because there is no battling the shoppers just to walk through. They have their own parking lot as well! Upon arriving I noticed how beautiful and clean cut the front was. With new trees planted, new landscape and a nice bright sign incase you miss the building. It was very clean outside as well. We parked and headed in, where the inside was just as clean as the outside. They had a basket of apples and a cute pitcher filled with a lemonade ice tea combo for sampling. Nice and refreshing way to stay the summer!
The place was not packed, but not empty. There were many patrons enjoying their food. We headed to the left to the Lounge. Again not packed, but not empty. We found a nice seat that comfortably fit all 5 of us. Our lovely waiter Jon took no time at all to helping us (even though he had quite a few tables) and taking our drink orders and handing us menus.
All of us being of age, some of us chose to have alcohol. I tried the shakers choice of the night. Via Con “Tequila.” It took him no time at all to get our drinks from the bar. Mine was surprising GOOD. A nice refreshing drink with a hint of lemon, a bit sweet, and just a subtle taste of the tequila. Jon then took our order, we receive one of everything off their “Snack Hour” menu.
“Snack Hour” is amazing! By far the best I know around. It is every day from 4-7 pm and then again 10-Close. Almost all of their regular appetizers are on this menu and it is small portions ranging from $1.99 to $2.99. Now that it is almost summer time we had the chance to get the Lobster Slider as well! So they are always changing their choices!
The first thing that stuck out to all of us was the Buffalo Wings, Buffalo Bites and the Crispy Cheese Dippers, because the amount for only $2.99 is great! Six HUGE pieces of bites, six very meaty bones and again, six large cheese sticks. I am not a fan of spicy at all so I asked if they would tone down the sauce when preparing. They came out and boy were they yummy! They were served with a nice fresh chilly Blue Cheese dressing and fresh carrots and celery! If you do not like spicy I would not recommend them, as I could only tolerate one or two. With the boys however they were a HIT.
Other spicy things include the Slider Burger which is a mini cheese burger with their special house sauce and Buffalo Cheddar Cheese, and Jon’s (our waiter) favorite the Buffalo Quesadilla. All of which again, the great price of $2.99. The Quesadilla was large enough to be a full meal! It was good with fresh tomatoes, onions and cheese. The burger slider was ok. I like my meat on the raw medium side and they only cook them medium well, but it was good again even with that kick of spice.
They have a couple mini pizza options as well. Also all $2.99. From the deep dish cheese to the flat bread pepperoni. Enough for one person to enjoy a nice bar snack while catching a game, which is easy to do since they had 7 TV’s all playing either sports or the news. What else goes with Pizza and Beer other then a good Sox game?
The Avocado Egg Rolls, Shrimp and Crab Fun-Doo and Pizza Skins are my favorite out of all this selection. I feel as if I did not have the Tamarind Cashew dip with the Avocado Egg roll I might not have liked it as much. The Pizza Skins as our waiter informed us is of course a classical favorite, I like mine with extra sour cream! I mean who ever dreamed up the mash potato, cheese and bacon combination is just the smarted person I know! The Shrimp and Crab Fun-Doo though that stole my tummy! Creamy, sea salty, fresh herb wonderful! There was many pieces of shrimp and crab as well! Plenty of chips to share with all my friends!
Most of the food we loved. There was only a few in which we questioned like the Home-Made-Guacomole Dip and chips, which just seamed like this is not what we would want as a tummy filling option. And the steak on a stick could have used a little salt, but again that was probably our fault as we forgot to dip it in the house made sauce!
All the food was served on bright colored plates which just went with the relaxing lounge area. The glasses were tall and cold for soda or beer. And the mixed drinks were to die for.
The deserts though are in a world of their own! I have never been to a chain restaurant that had such wonderful delicious deserts! Just thinking about them right now makes me want to run back and get another big dish cookie! We tried the Mini’s and I was begging for more!
They are: The Deep Cookie, Banana Foster, All American, Brownie Bowl and a Peanut Butter Cup. All topped with a scoop of nice fresh creamy vanilla ice cream! Who wouldn’t want that after a day at the beach? I got a taste of everything! There was just something about those macadamia nuts and soft cookie in a skillet that just stole my taste buds! I am a big Banana Foster fan too but this this was unbelievable. The All American is a nice Apple Crisp warm and fresh. The peanut butter cup is a little more chocolate then peanut butter but still good. Brownie was very warm and yummy. Again though it brings me back to the deep dish cookie! Please end your night at Uno’s with this favorite!
Uno’s is extremely wonderful to eat late. If you want a fast sit down, Carry Out (they have that,) a nice sit down meal or a fun night at the bar with snacks this is a place worth checking out. Snacks for no more than $2.99 and tall beers for $2.89 how can you go wrong? The wait staff was unbelievable in caring for the entire lounge area and always willing to please. We never had to wait for something or remind him we needed something. With a low bill and great music how else would I want to spend a Friday night birthday? If you have not yet been to Uno’s please make it a stop on your summer travels this year! Your wallet and tummy will thank you!.
Thank you Uno’s for your amazing staff and amazing food!
